Chief Deputy Michael Peters

I am both honored and humbled to serve the people of Kendall County. My position as Chief Deputy of the Correction Division allows me the opportunity to provide our Deputies and Support Staff with the highest quality of training, resources, and leadership.

I provide oversight and management (along with Commander Sabrina Jennings) for the Deputies that serve you in the Corrections Division, which is comprised of Jail Operations, Transports, Court Security, Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT), Sex Offender Registration, Prisoner Rape Elimination Act, and American Correctional Association. Additionally, we also have on-site Medical Services, Public Action to Deliver Shelter Program (PADS), Bible Study, Church Services, Law Libraries and Adult Educational services. The staff assigned to the Corrections Division is committed to providing a safe and secure environment in a professional manner.

Sheriff Baird and our employees are dedicated to fostering our relationship with the people of Kendall County to provide these services in an ethical and compassionate manner. We strive to achieve this in a transparent and fiscally responsible manner.
