ANNOUNCEMENT - SHERIFF SALES AND EVICTIONS 

Due to the restrictions put in place by the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court regarding COVID-19, all Evictions will NOT be conducted until further notice. To further keep our deputies and community healthy, Sheriff Sales scheduled for Monday, April 27th are also NOT being conducted until further notice.

We have contacted all Attorney’s regarding this matter. Rescheduling of Evictions and Sheriff Sales will be done at a later time.

The Civil Process Division of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing civil process service to individuals by certified mail, publication, personal service and/or substitute service. This division also serves Writs, which consist of but are not limited to, collecting money, seizing property (real and personal), evictions and attachments on children and adults. In addition the division is responsible for the sale of property to satisfy judgments, delinquent taxes or other court orders.

The Civil Process Division is responsible for processing court papers for the Sheriff’s Deputies to serve on individuals residing only in Kendall County.

The Civil/Warrants Division can be contacted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with the exception of court appointed holidays. For further reference please see the list of court appointed holidays. 

A list of the guidelines on EvictionsSheriff Sales for Outside Bidders and Sheriff Sales for Attorneys is provided for your convenience. (Consult with a licensed Attorney for any legal advice).

*A publication of the upcoming Sheriff Sales held @ 8:30 AM on the scheduled date at the Kendall County Courthouse, can be obtained at Sheriff Sales or in the Civil Process Division located on the second floor of the Sheriff’s Office, 1102 Cornell Ln, Yorkville IL 60560.
