Subat Forest Preserve	Trail Map

Subat is a 71-acre preserve located on Eldamain Road south of Route 34. A picnic shelter, trails and an overlook deck allow the visitor to enjoy this preserve.

The overlook deck provides the visitor with a comfortable place to enjoy this fen frequented by hummingbirds.

The fen wetland is currently being restored at Subat. Brush has been removed and invasive plants are being controlled. The restoration work has increased the plant and animal diversity at Subat.

Oak woodlands, restored prairies, and wetlands are found at Subat. The Rob Roy Creek flows through the preserve. Great Blue Herons commonly wade the creek searching for their next meal.
