Kendall County Forest Preserve District
Blackberry Trail Forest Preserve

This preserve stretches for over 1.5 miles along the Blackberry Creek. We have established a unique joint venture with the Fox Valley Park District, linking up the greenway and 2 miles of multi-use trail with park district facilities. Enter at Griffin Drive to access parking on Caliendo Circle (see map).

Much of this preserve has been restored to native prairie. Herons, hawks and many other birds are commonly spotted as you walk the meandering trail alongside this scenic stream.

The pedestrian bridge along the north end of the
preserve is a perfect spot to get a good view of the creek and wetlands!  Keep your eye out for muskrat and beaver.
