Baker Woods contains a diverse woodland that includes towering oaks, maples, and more unique trees such as the Kentucky Coffee Tree. Spring offers a great show of wildflowers and migrating birds. The Aux Sable Creek is a high quality stream that meanders along-side the preserve. |

If you are a birder, Baker Woods is a great place to visit. The Aux Sable Creek attracts waterfowl, wading birds and Belted Kingfishers. The wood-lands are full of warblers and other migrants in the spring and many resident bird species all year long. |
