Environmental Education

The Kendall County Forest Preserve District’s Environmental Education team is always planning and hosting events for your family, school, and community. We’d love to see you at an event, or you can visit our nature center, Laws of Nature, in Kendall County Historic Courthouse in Yorkville. We offer public programs, programs for school groups ages pre-k through high school, and adult and family focused programs and events. We strive to create programs that interest community members of all ages and backgrounds and would love to hear your suggestions or comments.   FP_1

Looking for summer fun? Registration begins February 1, 2017 for the Kendall County Forest Preserve District’s 2017 Spring and Summer Break Camps. Our nature and equestrian-themed camps are wildly popular, introducing children to nature, wildlife, beginner horsemanship, and outdoor recreational activities.

Each fun-filled camp session features nature hikes, games, crafts, exploration and discovery. Camps are offered for different age groups starting at age 1 through 9th grade, with program offerings at both Hoover Forest Preserve in Yorkville, and at Ellis House and Equestrian Center in Minooka. Summer Camps begin the week of June 12 and run through the week of July 31.

Join us for our Summer public programs!  Registration is now open for the District’s Summer Program. We invite you to explore these opportunities today!

Call Rebecca Antrim at 630-553-4025 or email rantrim@co.kendall.il.us to register.”
