Kendall County Regional Plan Commission

The Kendall County Board is looking for an interested person to serve as the Special Use Hearing Officer.  The Hearing Officer is a recommending body to the County Board and is responsible for conducting public hearings and finding of facts on special uses.  For the qualifications that Kendall County has deemed appropriate for this position, see 55 ILCS 5/5-43020(c)” (A hearing officer must have successfully completed a formal training program that includes: (1) instruction on the rules of procedure of the administrative hearings that they will conduct; (2) orientation to each subject area of the code violations that they will adjudicate; (3) observation of administrative hearings; and (4) participation in hypothetical cases, including ruling on evidence and issuing final orders and must be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois for at least 3 years.)  The Special Use hearing officer meets the fourth Monday following Plan Commission of each month at 7:00PM.  Meetings are held in the County Board Room located on the second floor (Rooms 209 & 210) of the County Administration Building, 111 W. PUBLIC NOTICE

Kendall County Board Chairman John Shaw is looking for an interested person residing in Big Grove Township to serve on the Kendall County Regional Plan Commission.  The Plan Commission is comprised of representatives from each of the nine townships that make up the County in addition to one “at large” representative.  The Commission is a recommending body to the County Board and is responsible for providing comment and recommendations on zoning, land use and subdivision issues affecting unincorporated properties.  It is also responsible for assisting in the development and conduct of the formal public hearings involving updates and amendments to the County’s Land Resource Management Plan.  The Commission meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM.  Meetings are held in the County Board Room located on the second floor (Rooms 209 & 210) of the County Administration Building, 111 W. Fox Street, Yorkville, IL 60560.  Interested Big Grove Township residents should submit their information to John Shaw, County Board Chairman care of the County Administrator’s Office, 111 W.
