Ken Toftoy
 

Ken was elected and has served as the Kendall County Coroner since 1992. He served concurrently as a fireman/paramedic with the Oswego Fire Department. Ken recently received recognition from the Illinois Department of Health for twenty years of service as a paramedic in Illinois. Ken is certified in Medicolegal Death Investigations through the Illinois Coroner's and Medical Examiner's Association as well as being certified in multiple areas through various Medicolegal and forensic training units throughout the state of Illinois.

Ken was active in establishing the first morgue for Kendall County by utilizing donated equipment from Copley Hospital. Ken serves as the Chaplain for the Major Crimes Task Force in Kendall County. Ken also serves as a member of the Chiefs of Police, current member and past president of the Illinois Coroner's and Medical Examiner's Association.

Ken has been involved in many community activities ranging from Prom Programs to inform juniors/seniors about the dangers of drinking and driving to volunteering time and supporting various charities such as the Polar Plunge at Silver Springs.

Ken is married to Dale Hornyan-Toftoy and they live together in Yorkville.
